Job summary

UT Health East Texas is hiring a full-time Paramedic in Tyler, TX. You will respond to emergency calls, work with EMTs on MICU ambulances, and perform patient assessment, triage, packaging and transport according to protocols.

The role requires Texas DSHS EMT Paramedic certification, NREMT or state license, and ongoing CE/compliance with EMS policies. Candidates should be ready to maintain all required credentials and participate in CE activities.

Qualifications

• EMT-Paramedic certification per Texas DSHS or NREMT
• BLS/ITLS or PHTLS, ACLS, and PEPP/PALS certifications required or to be obtained within stated timelines
• Maintain all certifications per Medical Control Board and policy

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned calls as first responders with efficiency and patient care high standards
• Work with EMT on MICU ambulance and contribute to patient assessment, triage, packaging and transport
• Adhere to protocols and participate in Double Medic unit duties when required
• Maintain regulatory compliance and attendance as per policy
