Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Paramedic License required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
• Driving record must comply with policy.
• Must pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action under Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on equipment and procedures (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
