Job summary

East Mills Community School District is seeking a dedicated paraeducator to join the Jr./Sr. High School team in Malvern, Iowa. This full-time position supports students with reading, math, and classroom activities, helping teachers with supervision and instruction throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Assist with or be responsible for student supervision on the playground, the cafeteria, bus loading/unloading, and assemblies.
Assist special needs students as assigned.
Prepare materials for use in the classroom or for administrative needs.
Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
Assist with large group activities such as drill work, reading aloud, and storytelling.
Administers, scores, and records achievement and diagnostic tests as recommended by the teacher.
Check student assignments.
Assist the teacher in developing ways to meet individual needs.
Keep work areas maintained (bulletin boards and displays).
Shall perform other tasks as assigned by administration.
