Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery, a family-owned carrier headquartered in St. Cloud, MN, is hiring a Full-Time Package Handler. You will load, unload, and sort freight to ensure fast, accurate deliveries and contribute to a safe warehouse environment.

Available shifts are Monday–Friday with 5:00 PM or 10:00 PM starts. Expect 10–15 hours of overtime weekly, with overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand and perform physical tasks for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking.
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight into trailers and routes to prevent damage and optimize space.
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image when needed.
• Perform light custodial duties to keep a safe warehouse.

The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Full-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages

• Available Shifts:
  • Monday-Friday, 5:00PM Start
  • Monday-Friday, 10:00PM Start
• 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
