Job summary

Red River Recovery Center in Dilworth, MN is seeking a dependable Full-Time Overnight Residential Program Assistant to join our residential treatment team.

The role focuses on supervising clients during the overnight shift, maintaining a safe environment, and assisting with medication documentation alongside our RN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, or related setting preferred.
• Two years of related experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries.
• Dependable and able to work independently during overnight hours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, respectful, nonjudgmental approach when working with clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must complete Minnesota DHS background study.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise clients throughout the overnight shift.
• Complete scheduled room checks to account for clients after curfew.
• Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive residential environment.
• Provide appropriate support and encouragement to clients throughout their recovery.
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow program rules and expectations.
• Assist clients with access to the medication window at prescribed times and complete required medication documentation under RN supervision.
• Review medication documentation and complete end-of-day reports for missed or incomplete medications.
• Assist with monthly medication-related paperwork and reorder documentation.
• Complete accurate and timely client documentation, including progress notes and incident documentation as needed.
• Review and follow client-specific instructions, communication logs, and program documentation.

Full-Time Overnight Residential Program Assistant

Red River Recovery Center - Dilworth, MN

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM-7:30 AM
Full-Time | Overnight Shift

Red River Recovery Center is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and motivated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Overnight Residential Program Assistant.

This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for individuals participating in residential substance use disorder treatment. Overnight staff provide client supervision and support while also completing important medication, documentation, safety, and facility responsibilities that help prepare the program for the following day.

What You'll Do

As an Overnight Residential Program Assistant, you will work both independently and as part of our residential treatment team. Responsibilities include:

• Monitor and supervise clients throughout the overnight shift
• Complete scheduled room checks to account for clients after curfew
• Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive residential environment
• Provide appropriate support and encouragement to clients throughout their recovery
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow program rules and expectations
• Assist clients with access to the medication window at prescribed times and complete required medication documentation under the supervision of our RN
• Review medication documentation and complete end-of-day reports for missed or incomplete medications
• Assist with monthly medication-related paperwork and medication reorder documentation
• Complete accurate and timely client documentation, including progress notes and incident documentation when necessary
• Review and follow client-specific instructions, communication logs, and program documentation
• Assist with new client admissions, including greeting clients and providing facility orientation when applicable
• Answer phones and assist with basic administrative responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front lobby, staff office, and other designated areas
• Launder client bedding as assigned
• Complete designated overnight cleaning and facility tasks
• Communicate important information to incoming staff and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Follow confidentiality requirements, professional standards, agency policies, and program procedures
• Respond appropriately to client concerns, emergencies, and unusual situations during the overnight shift
