• Must have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current New York State Physical Therapy license to practice.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Work Environment

This position is full-time and requires a commitment to onsite work, primarily within a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, comprising 40-hour shifts, ensuring a balanced work-life environment. Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of the Serenity Orthopedic Care Solutions team, your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients' physical conditions through thorough assessments and diagnostics to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment strategies aimed at optimizing patient recovery and improving functional mobility.
• Addressing a wide variety of patient needs, which includes working with orthopedic cases, pediatric populations, neurological conditions, and sports medicine injuries.
• Delivering exceptional customer service to foster a welcoming environment and to encourage active patient participation in their rehabilitation process.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to enhance patient therapy outcomes.
• Providing at-home care and education to patients and their families on continued practices and therapeutic exercises.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes to meet compliance and clinical best practice standards.
• Meeting established productivity targets and contributing to the overall objectives of the rehabilitation center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve engaging with a diverse patient population, including but not limited to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain management, athletes with sports injuries, and children requiring physical rehabilitation. This variety allows you to sharpen your clinical skills across multiple specialties while making meaningful contributions to the health and well-being of each patient.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy State License to practice in New York.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and basic computer applications essential for documentation and reporting.
• A personable approach with a genuine desire to connect with patients and build therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum required experience is two years, candidates with additional expertise in specialized areas such as aquatic therapy or sports rehabilitation will be considered favorably. Familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies and methodologies, including functional movement assessments and exercise prescriptions, is ideal.
