What does it mean to be part of the Order Selection team?

In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This requires strategic thinking and attention to detail, including palletizing orders and placing them in correct locations. You will operate motorized equipment such as Electric Pallet Jacks, ensuring safety and accuracy in moving products. At UNFI, we believe in teamwork, perseverance, and making a difference.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (or until work completion)

Job Responsibilities

• Select grocery, perishable, frozen, or repack products from warehouse stock
• Report inventory adjustments, spoilage, damage, location changes, and out-of-stock items
• Transport products throughout the warehouse using electric pallet jacks
• Maintain standards of speed, accuracy, safety, and minimal damage during order selection
• Assist other departments during peak times or absences

Job Requirements

• Experience in large warehouse or distribution environments
• Experience with Walkie-Riders or reach lifts
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds safely and work with high accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to work in temperatures from -10 to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit
• Willingness to work in grocery and cooler sections; freezer work optional
• Good judgment for independent work periods

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and twist frequently
• Work in temperatures from -20 to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit
• Perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements
• Work overhead and in confined spaces with equipment
• Maintain good vision and manual dexterity
