Job summary

University Orthopedics seeks an X-Ray Technologist for an OR-dedicated assignment at our East Bay Surgery Center. This full-time role involves operating the Large C-arm in a sterile OR, and obtaining high-quality images for orthopedic procedures.

You will prepare patients, identify anatomy and protocols, log completed radiologic procedures, maintain equipment, and work as a team across sites in East Providence, RI and Mansfield, MA. Occasional travel to all sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registration or pending registration.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Ability to move patients and equipment safely during exams.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics for radiology procedures.
• Basic understanding of radiology equipment and safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate Large C-arm (GE 9900 Elite) in the OR and acquire high-quality radiographs.
• Identify patient, anatomy and protocol for each exam and document results.
• Prepare patients and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Log and schedule completed radiologic procedures in computer/site systems.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment and examination rooms; stock supplies.
• Collaborate with fellow technologists and cross-cover clinics as needed.
