Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center Surgery in Ashtabula, OH seeks an OR Surgical Technician to support the surgical team and ensure sterile technique. You will scrub, prepare instruments, and assist with passing devices under licensed supervision.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Scrub Technician program, 2–3 years of clinical experience preferred, and current BLS certification. Flex scheduling includes 7-3:30P with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of or Certificate through an approved Surgical Scrub Technician program.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to perform in a high-stress surgical environment.
• 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in the scrub role and pass instruments.
• Maintain sterile technique, counts, labeling, and documentation.
• Prepare and operate sterilizers; ensure proper record keeping.
• Identify instruments and anticipate surgeon needs during procedures.
• Support cleaning, disinfection, and instrument handling as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by licensed staff.
