Job description

Smile Designers is in search for an RDH to work 1-4 days a week. Available days for hire are Monday-Friday. You are welcome to choose any or all days available. We welcome NEW GRADUATES and will are willing train you. We are a privately owned, upbeat, busy, general practice located in Longmont, CO.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Stay on schedule
*SRP’s & Perio Maintenance
*Make every patient feel comfortable and at ease.
*Perform manual and ultrasonic scaling.
*Provide accurate non-surgical periodontal therapy.
*Administer local anesthesia, as necessary.
*Conduct hard and soft tissue charting and document clinical notes using dental software.
*Educate patients about proper oral care following each hygiene treatment procedure.
*Assist and guide patients to schedule and complete necessary follow up treatment.
*Take x-rays, as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
*Colorado state certification/licensure as required to work as a Dental Hygienist.
*Current certification to administer local anesthesia.
*Xray certification.
*Knowledge of sterilization protocol and OSHA guidelines.
*Experience with Dentrix, Dexis software & Intra-Oral camera is a plus.
*Must possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, reliability and flexibility.
*Ideal candidate is professional, organized, detail oriented, friendly, and exercises good judgement while providing outstanding patient care.
*Must be a TEAM Player.
