Job summary

VCA Parkway Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Groomer to join our busy two-doctor practice and expand our grooming services. The successful candidate will share our love of animals and loyal clientele while delivering high-quality grooming.

We require excellent animal handling and client service skills, with strong knowledge of grooming techniques for dogs and cats. Compensation is hourly base pay plus commission, with shifts that are variable and may rotate weekly.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Groomer to join our team and help us expand our grooming services. VCA Parkway Animal Hospital is a busy two doctor practice with a variety of services offered, including grooming. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Groomer to capitalize on our established clientele.

The successful candidate for this position will share our love of our patients and our loyal clientele while we provide the highest quality care to their pets. We are looking for someone who is invested in the long-term success of their career at our hospital as a member of our team.

Excellent animal handling and client service skills are required, along with strong knowledge in the grooming techniques of all breeds of dogs and cats.

The Groomer provides general grooming services to our patients of all breeds using appropriate grooming techniques such as; hair cuts, bathing, dematting, clipping, nail trimming, ear cleaning, external gland expression, brushing and drying. The Groomer is responsible for their own space and housekeeping of that space.

Grooming School Classes And/or Grooming Certificate Preferred.

Compensation is hourly base pay plus commission.

Shifts days and times are variable and can be on a set rotation or weekly schedule.

Dependable Attendance Is Required.

Pay Range: Compensation negotiable based on experience and credentials. Starting at $16.00/hour
