Position Overview

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will provide clinical skills training supporting HealthLinc’s Medical Assistant training program and new hire orientation for clinical staff. Your role involves developing and delivering instructional training on clinical skills for Medical Assistants and Patient Care Team Nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Skills Coach for Medical Assistant Trainees: Prepare lesson plans, guide skills practice, provide lectures and hands-on training, liaise with preceptors, and coordinate meetings.
  2. New Hire Orientation: Conduct onboarding training, review and update orientation materials, collaborate on schedule development, and evaluate clinical skills of new hires.
  3. General Education: Develop skills competencies, provide onsite training on new programs, conduct BLS certification classes, and participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH).
Qualifications
Education/Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)
  • Master’s Degree (highly preferred)
Certification
  • Registered Nurse in Indiana (highly preferred), or Licensed Practical Nurse with teaching experience, or Certified Medical Assistant with instructing experience.
  • Must obtain BLS instructor certification through the American Heart Association within 6 months of employment.
Experience & Skills
  • Experience in organizational collaboration and multicultural settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel across sites and nationally for conferences.
