Qualifications

• Doctorate in Optometry (OD) required.

Responsibilities

• Examine eyes to determine visual acuity and diagnose diseases.
• Analyze test results and develop a treatment plan.
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
• Prescribe medications for eye diseases where lawful.
• Educate patients on eye care and safety; refer to ophthalmology when needed.
