Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:

  • Provide professional, warm, friendly, efficient, and exceptional client service
  • Engaging and communicating with clients, promoting eye health by education and preventative care
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams
  • Diagnose and treat eye diseases
  • Maintain a positive work environment
  • Guide, utilize, and mentor our exceptional support staff

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Valid Indiana license to practice optometry
  • Experience working in primary care and ocular disease required
  • Experience working with specialty contact lenses preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development
  • Willingness to learn new optical products to make personalized recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
