Job summary

Sacred Circle Healthcare is seeking a full-time Optician for the main clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role supports the optometry department with clerical duties and customer service, assisting the optometrist in examinations and patient care.

You will manage testing data, patient flow, and lab orders, while advising on frames and lens options to meet patient needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year current experience as an Optician or OP Technician.
• 2 years current experience is preferred.
• Certification by American Board of Optometry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist in examination pre-tests and procedures.
• Set up and enter testing results in the patient’s electronic record.
• Manage patient flow and provide exceptional customer service.
• Advise patients on frames, lens types, coatings based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Prepare work orders for lab with all patient and prescription details.
• Inspect orders for quality and accuracy; adjust glasses for fit.
• Educate patients on glasses care and maintenance.
