Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an onsite Occupational Therapist to support high school students for the full 22/23 school year in San Jose, California. The role is full-time, requiring a 37.5-hour work week and involves direct service in an educational setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a California OT license, have school-based experience, and be skilled in designing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with staff and families, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for California.
• Previous experience working in school-based OT settings preferred.
• Knowledge of best practices in OT, including teletherapy and home health approaches.
• Ability to design and implement effective therapy plans tailored to high school students.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families.
• Comfort with documentation and reporting systems relevant to educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to high school students in an onsite setting.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP requirements.
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate updates to educators and families.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
• Adapt intervention strategies across in-person and, if needed, technology-assisted sessions.
