Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a qualified Physics teacher to deliver live online lessons for Years 9-13, covering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3. You will design personalised lessons, foster engagement in a fully remote setting, and collaborate with an innovative educator team.

The role requires NZ Teaching Registration, physics teaching credentials, and strong digital communication skills to support students across New Zealand.

What You'll Do

• - Deliver inspiring live online Chemistry lessons five days per week
• - Design personalised learning experiences
• - Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment
• - Collaborate with a high-calibre team of innovative educators
• - Support student progress through differentiated instruction
• - Provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals
• - Contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team
• - Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning

What We're Looking ForEssential:

• - NZ Teaching Registration
• - Science teaching qualification and subject expertise in Physics
• - Strong knowledge of NCEA curriculum (Levels 2-3)
• - Excellent communication skills and comfort with digital technology

Desirable:

• - IGCSE teaching experience
• - Online or blended learning experience
• - Familiarity with educational technology and AI platforms
