BAYADA at Inspira Home Health

BAYADA at Inspira Home Health is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time opportunity performing home health visits for our Salem County office, located in West Deptford, NJ. This office services clients on a per-visit basis in territories throughout Salem County, NJ.

As a home care Occupational Therapist, you will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Occupational Therapist, OT Responsibilities:
  1. Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
  2. Perform thorough evaluations of patients’ functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication skills, and ADL and IADL performance.
  3. Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects of performance and develop individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes.
  4. Evaluate home environment for hazards or barriers to independent living.
  5. Identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations to enhance client outcomes.
  6. Continuously assess and revise the occupational therapy care plan, collaborating with nursing in the multidisciplinary care team as appropriate.
  7. Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other representatives in rehabilitative care and activities to promote health, safety, and independence.
  8. Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations related to patient care using a state-of-the-art touchpad tablet.
Occupational Therapist, OT Qualifications:
  • Current NJ Occupational Therapist license.
  • Prior home care experience preferred but not required.
  • At least one year of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the AMA and AOTA, evidenced by transcript or diploma.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
