Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our hybrid infusion center team in Long Island, NY. The NP will provide infusion services and clinical oversight, ensuring patient safety and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have NY licensure and at least 2 years in outpatient or infusion care, with strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills to support a patient-centered care journey.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted NY NP license.
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient or infusion care experience.
• Strong clinical judgment; IV therapy experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Role Overview: Infusion Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) who is licensed in Long Island, NY to join our outpatient infusion center team. This is a hybrid role, dedicated to providing high-quality patient care through a combination of hands-on infusion services and clinical oversight functions. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and operational excellence.

Hybrid (2-days onsite, in the center)

Key Accountabilities

• Clinical Quality
• Regulatory Clinical Compliance

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and guidelines
• Ensure effective communication with patients across all aspects of their care (scheduling, symptoms, inquiries, etc.)
• Coordinate with referring/prescribing providers to ensure effective delivery of care through order clarification, patient status, and plan of care communication
• Resolve clinical escalations, in accordance with policies and procedures
• Prescribe select medication in accordance with patient needs and clinical protocols, evidence-based standards, and organizational policies
• Order and maintain medical inventory and supplies

Quality & Compliance Responsibilities

• Onboard new Medicare patients, completing establishment calls and documentation
• Ensure clinical quality & compliance across region through clinical supervision and oversight, chart auditing, and Letters of Medical Necessity

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient or infusion-based care.
• Strong clinical judgment, experience in IV therapy preferred.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
