Job summary

Senior Helpers Maine LLC in Bangor, ME is seeking a dedicated Patient Assistant for the night shift on a full-time basis. You will help with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and provide in-home support for clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing home or home community care preferred.
• Familiarity with basic medical documentation.
• Willing to receive on the job training if no history in-home care or clinical experience.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic phone and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, personal care
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Provide support in in-home and with errands, appointments and activities outside of home, such as shopping and light housekeeping
• Assist in medical documentation and record-keeping
• Collaborate with the patient, family, and members of our home health agency to ensure patient well-being
