Qualifications

• State Paramedic License and NREMT-Paramedic certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications, plus valid driver’s license.
• Must have driving record compliant with company policy and pass agility test.
• Prior healthcare work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and determine best action with Paramedic protocols.
• Use paramedic equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the paramedic team and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with other health and public safety personnel and peers.
• Represent AMR in the community and support public relations.
