Job summary

Carter Express/Carter Logistics in Anderson, IN is seeking a Forklift Operator for our crossdock facility. You will operate a sit-down forklift, unload inbound freight, and scan items into the system to keep our operations running smoothly. This position requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Prior warehouse and forklift experience is highly preferred. You will work Monday through Friday, with weekend requirements possible and advanced notice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior warehouse and forklift experience highly preferred.
• Must be self-driven with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
• Must be able to follow given directions to complete tasks and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit down forklift.
• Unload inbound freight.
• Scan freight into the system.
• Notify Supervisor of any overage, shortage, or damage to freight.
• Load outbound trailers.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work Monday - Friday; weekend requirements may apply with advanced notice.
