Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer for full-time patrol access authorization in Chesapeake, VA. You will monitor sites, control access, and provide top-tier customer service to clients and staff.

The role emphasizes unarmed patrols in technology-focused environments with shift-based hours. Applicants should have a high school diploma and a guard card/license; CPR is preferred. All qualified applicants will be considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology-focused facilities, offices, parking, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor entries per policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, problem-solving approach.
• Prepare clear activity reports and handoff communications while maintaining professionalism.
