Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a Sleep Center professional to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Responsibilities include polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care and education.

The role may involve scoring PSG data, adjusting equipment, PAP mask fittings, and overseeing other staff as needed. Requires BRPT pathway or polysomnography associate's degree along with BLS, and strong teamwork in a night-shift

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
An accredited program leading to an Associate’s degree with emphasis in polysomnography required OR BRPT pathway options identified by board.
BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to meet patient-specific needs.
Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures.
Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing and adjust as needed.
Apply electrodes and sensors according to standards.
Perform calibrations to ensure proper signals.
Fit PAP masks.
Follow protocols to collect data.
Perform polysomnographic data acquisition and monitor study quality.
Document observations for scoring and interpretation.
Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per guidelines.
Assist with equipment care and inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
