Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, Colorado is hiring for a Night Shift patient care technician to join our team. This role supports patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and helps maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• CNA or CPCT/A or NCPCT or PCT-C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per policy and according to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Function appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Document procedures in department records.
• Assist in delivering patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.

Job Description:

NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE UP TO $10,000. FULL-TIME NIGHTS

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned.
