Job summary

AdventHealth Littleton in Colorado is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the day shift. This full-time role includes a NEW HIRE ELIGIBLE SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $10,000 and three 12-hour shifts.

You will perform treatments per policy, aid in emergencies, support quality efforts, maintain a clean, safe environment, and document procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. Education includes High School diploma, BLS, CNA or CPCT/A certification, with 1+ PCT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• CN A or CPCT/A certification is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure under RN supervision.
• Assists in clinical emergencies and maintains patient safety and privacy.
• Supports quality initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment and documents procedures as required.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Description:

NEW HIRE ELIGIBLE SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $10,000. FULL-TIME DAYS. Three 12-hour shifts!

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse. Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy. Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse. Assists in identifying patient needsOther duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)[Required]
