The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking Full Time Night (Nocturnist) and Per Diem Hospitalists for Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, NY!

The successful candidate will manage and provide the clinical care of patients assigned to Hospitalist Services through the entire continuum of hospital care including, but not limited to seeing patients in the ER, on the unit, following them to the critical care unit. Hospitalist shall be responsible to ensure that each patient assigned to the service receives medically appropriate level of care on 24/7 basis. Coordinates discharge planning with the patient, family members, and care manager/discharge planner.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Time Night / Nocturnist (7 pm - 7 am) and Per Diem Hospitalist
  • Employed position based at Mount Sinai South Nassau
  • Serve a diverse population and live in a region with excellent school districts and easy access to Manhattan
  • Clinical Support staff: Nurses, and medical assistants
  • EMR system: Allscripts
  • Teaching and or research opportunities available

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • New York Medical License

Compensation range from 255K to 300K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

Designated a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for outstanding nursing care, South Nassau also offers Novalis Tx and Gamma Knife radiosurgery technologies, and operates the only Trauma Center on the South Shore of Nassau County verified by the American College of Surgeons. MSSN has a large critical care and elderly patient population and a very busy hematology / oncology service as part of our renowned Feil Cancer Center which works closely with the NCI Cancer Program at Mount Sinai.
