Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Frisco seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support nursing staff in delivering emergency care during night shifts. You will perform basic patient care, document vitals, and help with mobility and comfort.

This role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of healthcare experience; BLS certification is required or obtainable within 30 days. Phlebotomy, coordination with physicians and nurses are daily responsibilities in our fast-paced ED.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related healthcare role.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care duties and documents vital signs and data.
• Recognizes abnormal data, reports findings, and follows orders.
• Provides direct technical care including mobility, toileting and feeding support.
• Performs phlebotomy and handles specimen transport for lab review.
• Transports patients to and from the department and supports education.
• Communicates with nurses, physicians and other team members regarding patient care.
