Overview:
A warm, easygoing family in Birmingham, MI is looking for a full-time, long-term, live-out nanny. You'll work alongside a stay-at-home parent in a collaborative, team-oriented home. The family has three children, ages 1, 3, and 5. The 3- and 5-year-olds attend school, and the 1-year-old is home with you during the day.
Mornings start with helping get the children ready for the day and caring for the baby while the parent handles school drop-off. The day includes naps, lunch prep, walks, library and park outings, and light tidying. In the afternoon the older children come home, and you'll have all three together for about 45 minutes. You'll unload backpacks, serve snacks and help with the transition home.
The family wants a proactive, happy, energetic nanny who knows how to manage little ones well, especially toddlers. This person should be able to step in wherever help is needed without being asked. The family loves a tidy home. Meals and snacks happen only in the kitchen, the children are encouraged to clean up after themselves, and screens are used only when a child is sick. A cleaning service handles weekly deep cleaning.
The family travels about three times a year during school vacations and would like their nanny to come along. Your schedule stays the same while traveling. All travel expenses are covered, and you'll have your own accommodations. During summer and school breaks the schedule remains 40 hours per week, but times may shift around day camp.
Benefits: Paid holidays, 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week chosen by the family, 1 week chosen by the nanny), 5 sick/personal days, W-2 payroll, paid travel expenses with private accommodations
