Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Nanny for a family in Soweto, Gauteng, to care for two children aged 2 and 4. The role centers on daily routines, safe supervision, engaging activities, and nutritious meals, with flexibility for occasional remote planning sessions.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of childcare experience, valid First Aid/CPR, excellent references, a warm, patient personality, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional childcare experience as a nanny or similar role.
• Experience caring for toddlers and preschoolers is essential.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Excellent references from previous employers.
• Warm, patient and nurturing personality with a love for children.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage daily schedules.
• Good communication skills in English; isiZulu or Sesotho a plus.
• Must be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Willingness to adapt to a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, high-quality care for two children (ages 2 and 4).
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities (indoor/outdoor), crafts, and reading.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
• Manage daily routines including dressing, bathing, feeding, and naps.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for children and tidying play areas.
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the day, progress, and concerns.
• Administer basic first aid and handle minor health issues per parental instructions.
• Occasional light housekeeping related to children's needs.
• Occasional remote planning or activity coordination sessions.
