Maison D'Enfants in New York is seeking a full-time live-in nanny for a toddler, starting ASAP. The role requires a proactive, traveling-ready caregiver with 4+ years of nanny experience, strong references, and flexibility in a 7 days on/7 days off rota.

Travel to the Hamptons and abroad is expected, with a health care stipend and benefits. Ideal candidates are active, communicative, and comfortable working with multiple caregivers and parents.

Qualifications

• Valid work authorization with valid passport.
• Minimum of 4 years experience as a nanny, 5-10 years preferred.
• Experience with infants and toddlers.
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence.
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development.
• Ability to complete all child related duties (meal prep, cleaning, laundry, planning playdates and activities).
• Open and flexible schedule and ability to travel.
• Spanish or French fluency preferred.
• Comfortable working in partnership with other caregivers and mother in home.
• Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times.
• A driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Training and certifications such as early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification.
• A degree from a four year college.
• Other skills include swimming, cooking, sports, the arts and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing care and interact with the toddler in a fun, stimulating, age-appropriate way.
• Carry out all child-related duties including meal prep, tidying bedrooms and play areas, laundry, and planning activities.
• Travel with the family and support their schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Be flexible with hours, including overnights and 14-day blocks as needed.
• Collaborate with other caregivers and the mother to ensure consistent care.

Job description

Full Time live-in ROTA (7 days on/7 days off) Nannies required for a warm and loving West Village family with one toddler (born Spring 2025) starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their son in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone active, love to travel and overall be a positive and engaging individual. The ideal candidates are flexible with their schedule, proactive, experienced with newborn, toddler and school age milestones and who appreciate direct and open communication with the family. A can do attitude with a team player mentality would be a wonderful match for these parents. Spanish or French fluency is desired for the role, however the family will consider all qualified and strong candidates.

Location: West Village, NY and Amagansett, NY

Start date: ASAP

Schedule: the family wants to find the best of the best! Ideal ROTA schedule is 7 days on/7 days off with full flexibility to work 14 days straight (including weekends). Baseline hours expected of 60 hours/week +, with availability for early/late days, overnights and weekends. The family is looking for flexible candidates who can adapt accordingly during work hours to support the family's busy schedules.

The family travels frequently to their Hamptons home in the mid-Spring through Fall - ability to live-in is desired. June through August generally in the Hamptons.

Additional domestic and International travel is also expected with this role.

Children: Toddler Boy (Born: Spring 2025)

Conditions: $130,000 - $140,000* per year plus health care stipend, unlimited OMNY card, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience

• An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel

• Spanish or French fluency preferred (however, family will consider all qualified and strong candidates)
• Comfortable working in a partnership/alongside with other caregivers and Mother in the home, while able to handle children for periods alone, when needed.
• Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times, reflecting the high standards and values prioritized by the family
