Description

St. John Eudes School in Chatsworth, CA, is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Full Time Music Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This role, under the guidance of the principal, involves planning, delivering, and assessing music instruction for students in grades TK-8, aligned with both the California Common Core standards and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles standards.

Requirements

• Manage and engage a classroom effectively.
• Foster a supportive Catholic environment conducive to student learning, including differentiation and classroom management.
• Collaborate with colleagues, grade-level teachers, and staff.
• Direct the school choir for weekly and monthly Masses.
• Organize the Christmas Program, Spring Concert, Choir performances, and other fine arts displays.
• Develop and deliver a curriculum that adheres to Common Core and Archdiocesan standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with parents and families.
• Regularly update staff and administration on plans and progress.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Current CA teaching credential and/or Bachelor’s Degree is desired but not required.
• Clearances: Criminal justice fingerprint clearance and VIRTUS certification (provided).
• Experience: Previous instructional experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Understanding of school operations and the ability to implement an engaging curriculum.

Wage Range: The compensation offered is based on internal pay policies and budget, typically starting at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part. Factors such as skills, experience, and training are considered in determining the final pay rate.
