About the Role:

As a member of the property maintenance team, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the hotel's commitment to high-quality guest experience and teamwork by safely and efficiently maintaining the property. Your responsibilities include overseeing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and pool maintenance, along with general facilities upkeep. Your day will typically start with a scheduled plan that includes preventative maintenance and grounds work, which will be adjusted based on work orders reported by hotel staff and guests. Maintaining high standards of quality work to minimize guest disruption is essential. Embracing technology to improve property maintenance is also important.

The position focuses on mid-day and evening shifts.

About You:

You enjoy working independently but understand the importance of team collaboration to provide excellent customer service. You are skilled at completing preventative maintenance tasks and ready to assist team members or guests in distress, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills. You possess 'MacGyver'-like handyman skills with experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC (including PTAC cleaning), painting, caulking, and similar areas. Your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, technical knowledge, and friendly demeanor are your strengths.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and other hotel areas
  • Respond to reported problems and issues, performing general repairs
  • Assist with maintaining the pool area according to company, brand standards, and applicable codes
  • Maintain external property appearance, including lawn, landscaping, and parking lot
  • Conduct building and equipment preventative maintenance
  • Assist team members and other departments to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensure all maintenance areas and equipment are clean, organized, and secure
  • Maintain basic knowledge of fire safety equipment, refrigeration, pool, and elevator operation
  • Operate common power and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
