Job Overview

The Merchandiser is responsible for presenting products in a way that attracts consumers at retail locations. This includes servicing and maintaining multiple accounts by merchandising products, following safety and quality guidelines, and communicating effectively with store management and cross-functional teams.

Schedule

Start at 5am - 6am until route completion; must work weekends. Two days off during the week, varying by store route.

Routes service the Denver/Newton NC areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on display and shelves according to procedures and programs.
• Physically move products from backroom to display.
• Create and distribute point of sale materials, rotate products, and check vendor operations.
• Organize and maintain back room inventory, handle returns of damaged or expired products.
• Build relationships with store personnel and discuss upcoming activities and opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Effective communication skills: listening, speaking, writing.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly).
• Reliability and independence with minimal supervision.
• Critical thinking skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid in-state driver’s license.
