Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) Lombard, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and the care team in an ambulatory setting. You will connect with patients, record vital signs, and assist with exams and procedures to ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience (or certified MA with 2 years), and phlebotomy skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills required or preferred.
• MA diploma or 2 years MA experience or certified MA with 2 years MA experience.
• Good interpersonal skills and professionalism in patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients; assist with transitions into care.
• Take and record vital signs and health histories.
• Prepare patients for exams; assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care tests.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
