SIMEDHealth is seeking a compassionate Full Time Medical Assistant for our Gainesville clinics. The role supports patient care, documents vital signs, and coordinates refills with providers. On-site work is required with fixed shifts 8–12 PM or 1–5 PM daily.

You'll handle EHR documentation, assist with procedures (EKGs, wound care), and help with referrals and authorizations. Prior MA program completion and BLS/CPR are required or preferred, with bilingual ability a plus.

Qualificações

• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or National Certification preferred.
• 1–2 years' experience with electronic health records preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a private medical office or hospital setting preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Ensuring accurate and complete patient information is readily available in their electronic medical records.
• Welcoming patients to the exam room and efficiently documenting their vital signs in the EHR.
• Serving as a key point of contact for medication refill requests, coordinating between patients and providers.
• Administering prescribed medications (injections, oral, topical) according to your training and qualifications.
• Skillfully assisting with and performing various patient procedures (EKGs, spirometry, dressings, wound care) based on your expertise and clinic needs.
• Triaging patient phone calls with care and providing helpful responses to their medical inquiries.
• Proactively assisting patients with referrals and authorizations for procedures and surgeries.
