Job summary

Siouxland Community Health Center in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced provider team in a busy primary care setting.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED (certification preferred), EMR experience, BCLS, and the ability to assist with patient visits, phlebotomy, immunizations, and exam preparation. This is a full-time position with ~40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; certification preferred for MA.
• EMR experience is a definite plus.
• BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider team with one-on-one patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare patient and all necessary instruments, equipment and paperwork for clinical visits.
• Assist with phlebotomy and administer immunizations.
• Perform vision and hearing exams.
• Schedule appointments.
• Document in electronic medical records and practice management system.
