Job summary

ASHBURN, VIRGINIA, STORE 310 - GOOSE CREEK VILLAGE is seeking an associate to assist in managing the Meat/Seafood Department. This role involves supervising up to 15 associates, interviewing and training staff, planning and directing work, and supporting performance reviews, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job description

Assist to manage and supervise up to 15 associates in the Meat/Seafood Department. Is responsible for assisting the Meat/Seafood Manager with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; assist in appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Compensation

• Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $19.50/hour and $31.00/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
