Job summary

Columbus Technical College seeks a full-time Mathematics Instructor to prepare lesson plans and evaluate student progress for Mathematics. The position is on campus and requires day and evening hours, with potential travel within the service area.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction across all levels of Mathematics, teaching fall, spring, and summer terms, and ensuring compliance with college and safety requirements. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Or a Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours in Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Delivers effective instruction for all levels of Mathematics classes.
• Teaches fall, spring, and summer semesters.
• Ensures adherence to college safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following procedures.
• Evaluates students’ progress and provides timely feedback.
• Develops course outlines, goals, and objectives in line with state standards.
• Maintains syllabi, lesson plans, testing, labs and other coursework.
• Requests and maintains supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Prepares and maintains required documentation and administrative reports.
• Keeps knowledge current by attending staff development and reading professional literature.
• Meets with students and staff to discuss instructional programs and issues affecting progress.
• Assists with marketing, retention, and recruitment.
