Job summary

Hilltop Supply and hardwood LLC in Dayton, OH, is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support daily warehouse and delivery operations at our Dayton location. The role is focused on safe movement, staging, loading, and unloading of flooring products, equipment, and related materials, with accuracy and safety as a priority.

The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-paced operations team.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license and reliable transportation to the Dayton work location.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, delivery, logistics, or material-handling is preferred but not required; training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with GPS, mobile time-tracking tools, and warehouse equipment is helpful.
• Ability to work independently as well as with team members.
• Must complete a background check as part of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, move, stage, and unload products for orders and deliveries.
• Assist Delivery Associates on routes to support transport and customer service.
• Verify products, quantities, condition, and documentation before dispatch and on return.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
• Support inventory movement, receiving, put-away, and other daily activities.
• Perform routine checks of material-handling equipment and report issues.
• Follow schedules, safety procedures, and company standards consistently.
• Use warehouse tools and equipment as trained, including GPS and time-tracking apps.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, customers, and teammates.
• Perform physically demanding tasks with minimal supervision.
