What You Will Do: The Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role within 84 Lumber. It offers hands-on training across store operations with the goal of promotion to management within 6-12 months. Many progress to General Manager roles within 3-4 years. Note: Manager Trainees must complete the training plan and be willing to relocate for management positions.

No experience is required to start your career at 84 Lumber. Just bring your dedication and willingness to learn, and we will help you grow! The training includes classroom, online, and hands-on learning covering:

• Sales and Customer Service
• Store Operations and Inventory Management
• Blueprint Reading and Estimation
• Forklift Operation and Certification
• Business Management

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands & Work Environment: Work involves indoor and outdoor settings, with physical activities including standing, walking, and lifting up to 80 pounds. Work may be in various weather conditions and around machinery.

Responsibilities include:

• Payroll, Invoicing, Inventory, POS Systems
• Interpreting financial reports
• Reading blueprints and creating material lists
• Responding to customer inquiries or complaints

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Full-time availability (48+ hours/week, including overtime)
