White Blossom Care Center in San Jose, CA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant (Full-Time) to keep the facility safe, clean, and comfortable for residents and staff. You will perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep to support daily operations.

The role requires basic skills in wiring, plumbing, painting, and carpentry, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work independently with reliable communication and a resident-centered mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in building maintenance or related trade is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, painting, and carpentry tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong communication skills and a resident-centered mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on building systems and equipment.
• Maintain facility grounds, ensuring walkways are clear, safe, and clean.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
• Help move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and facility policies.
• Assist with waste disposal and keep maintenance storage areas organized.
