Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Quarry Oaks and Rolling Oaks Apartments. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and custodial upkeep to ensure safe, welcoming housing for seniors and residents.

Responsibilities include HVAC/plumbing/electrical work, inspections, and coordinating with the Community Administrator. The position requires a California driver’s license and ability to meet insurance

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry work.
• Communicate effectively and follow written instructions.
• Experience working with seniors, lower income individuals, minorities, and persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and common areas.
• Repair interior/exterior building components and inspect grounds.
• Maintain inventory and upkeep records, assist with safety inspections.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation across facilities and help with resident concerns as needed.
• Support training of new staff and maintain professional conduct.
