Job summary

Ridgeview Health Center in San Diego, CA is seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide comprehensive nursing care on their shift. The LVN will administer medications, document care, and respond to emergencies in accordance with state regulations.

The ideal candidate has a current California LVN license and at least one year of experience in elder/chronically ill care, preferably in a skilled nursing facility, with knowledge of Title 22 and OBRA regulations.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license in good standing with the LVN Board of Nursing.
• At least one year of experience providing direct nursing care to elderly and chronically ill patients.
• Knowledge of Title 22 and OBRA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN supervisor and oversee CNAs to maintain quality resident care.
• Coordinate with attending physicians for changes of condition, orders, and medications; inform family members as needed.
• Accurate documentation of physician, resident, and family communications; development of resident care plans.
• Perform IV therapy, tube feedings, oxygen administration and related procedures.
• Respond quickly and professionally to medical emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
