Job summary

Riverside Medical Clinic is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support multiple offices across the Riverside region. The LVN will assist in examinations, take vital signs, document histories and charges, and participate in patient education while maintaining infection control standards.

Responsibilities include room preparation, assisting physicians, IV therapy, administering medications and treatments, and performing routine labs under supervision. Travel between locations is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; California LVN license.
• Two years’ LVN experience in a multi-specialty setting preferred.
• Current AHA BLS; ACLS preferred; IV certification required.
• Able to work at varied locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cover clinical offices based on operational need.
• Interview patients; measure vital signs; record chart information.
• Prepare treatment room; assist physician; clean and sterilize equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and document details.
• Administer treatments and perform routine labs under supervision.
• Initiate IV lines and manage IV fluids under supervision.
• Perform EKG, pulse oximetry, inhalation treatments and operate equipment.
• Travel between departments and facilities as needed; manage supplies.
• Adhere to LVN scope of practice and clinic policies.
• Discard expired medications and supplies.
• Maintain current California LVN licensure and BLS.
