Full Time - Line Cook - Ole Red Gatlinburg

Join us as a Full Time - Line Cook at Ole Red Gatlinburg with Ryman Hospitality Properties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and producing food while following sanitation guidelines for a restaurant, bar, and entertainment venue. Support for special events and catering may also be required.
  • Performing cooking procedures such as sauté, grill, fry, bake, and roast, and operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Using knife skills (slice, chop, mince, julienne, dice) and equipment (knives, slicers, mixers, choppers, grinders) safely and effectively.
  • Properly storing food, maintaining sanitation, following recipes, adhering to portion controls, and minimizing waste.
  • Reading kitchen tickets and ensuring timely service, monitoring food quality, and communicating delays.
  • Cleaning and organizing kitchen areas, storing food and chemicals properly, labeling, and maintaining correct temperatures.
  • Cleaning workstations, returning supplies, and ensuring kitchen security at shift end.
  • Communicating with stewards, performing dishwashing and cleaning procedures, and reporting equipment issues or hazards immediately.
  • Following all directions from leadership and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of culinary experience preferred, with a minimum of 6 months line cook experience preferred.
  • Ability to set up a station with all ingredients prepared ('mise en place').
