Join Appalachian Community Services as a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) and receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Overview

Are you passionate about making an immediate impact in behavioral health crisis care? Do you excel in fast-paced, team-oriented environments? We are seeking compassionate and skilled LPNs to join our BHUC team, providing essential crisis intervention and client-centered nursing support.

Position Details

• Full-time, salaried non-exempt role with overtime opportunities. Starting hourly rate: $28.85.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an approved nursing program.
• Active LPN licensure through the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in crisis situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic and in-person screenings, including pregnancy tests, urine drug screens, and breathalyzers.
• Collaborate with prescribers on medication needs and alternative care options.
• Administer and monitor prescribed medications.
• Provide medical oversight throughout the individual's stay.
