The Translation StudiesProgram offers undergraduate and graduate education in translationand interpreting within the College of Liberal Arts. The new M.A.in Translation and Interpreting creates an immediate need fordedicated faculty expertise in interpreting. The program issituated in the multilingual region of Southern California and ispositioned to develop partnerships with courts, healthcare systems,schools, governmental agencies, nonprofits, and communityorganizations. The successful candidate will help build aprofessionally grounded interpreting curriculum, expand bilingualand multilingual career pathways, and strengthen CSULB's regionalleadership in equitable language access.
A background check(including a criminal records check and telephone reference checkwith most recent employer) must be completed satisfactorily beforeany candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure tosatisfactorily complete the background check may affect theapplication status of applicants or continued employment of currentCSU employees who apply for the position.
