Eastern National is seeking a full-time Lead Store Associate at Assateague Island National Seashore in Berlin, Maryland. The role includes operating the cash register, stocking the sales floor, assisting visitors with product selection, and collaborating with a team to maintain an appealing retail space.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate the cash register by processing appropriate tenders and maintaining accurate cash register records
• Restock the sales floor while following visual merchandising guidelines and help create visual displays. This includes lifting boxes weighing up to 35 pounds to a shelf height of 5 feet and may require standing for long periods of time to include bending, squatting, and reaching
• Assist visitors with product selection and offer complementary products
• Navigate complex topics with sensitivity and respect
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and maintain prompt and regular attendance
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
• May open and close the store independently
