Job summary

Tharp Consulting is seeking a diligent cashier/stocker to support daily store operations in York County. The role includes unloading merchandise, stocking shelves, and assisting with merchandising plans while delivering excellent customer service at the register.

In addition to cash handling and POS use, the candidate will help maintain cleanliness, assist with displays, and ensure a safe environment. Supervision may be exercised in managers’ absence.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of cash handling, mathematical calculations, and point-of-sale systems.
• Effective communication, safety awareness, and ability to follow visual merchandising guidance are essential.
• A high school diploma or equivalent and supervisory or related experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and assist with plan-o-grams.
• Provide exemplary customer service and operate cash registers for payments.
• Maintain store cleanliness, set up displays, and uphold a safe shopping environment.
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds and manage cash and security.
• Complete necessary documentation as required.

Duties include operating cash registers, handling payments, maintaining store cleanliness, setting up displays, and ensuring a safe shopping environment. In the absence of management, responsibilities extend to authorizing refunds, managing cash, monitoring security, and completing necessary documentation.

Work Conditions:
